He was born March 30, 1933 to Albert and Laura (Erdman) Graewin at Wilton. He was baptized May 21, 1933, at St. Jacob's Lutheran Church at Norwalk and was confirmed March 30, 1947. He was united in marriage to La Vone J Gnewikow On Sept. 26, 1954, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tomah. He was an active and faithful church member throughout his life. He taught Sunday school for 17 years at St. Jacob's Lutheran Church. He was a charter member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Tomah. Roger was owner of a century farm located in the town of Ridgevill and received the century-farm award in 1992. He is survived by his wife, La Vonne; three sons, Steve (Sharon) of Camp Douglas, Scott (Julie) of Mauston, and Kerry of Wilton; three grandchildren, Jesse and Tiffany Graewin of Mauston and Riley Graewin of Wilton; a brother, Stanley Graewin of Wilton; two brothers-in-law, Harvey (Mary)Gnewikow of Oakdale, and Delwin Gnewikow of Elroy; a sister-in-law Laura Gnewikow of Tomah; and nieces nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death byy his parents; two brothers-in-law, Loren and Leonard Gnewikow; and a sister-in-law, Arlene Gnewikow. Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 13, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Tomah, Pastor John C. Wille officiated. Burial was in the Oak Grov Cemetary, Tomah. The Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., Tomah, assisted the family with arrangements The above was taken from the "The County Line" newpaper on Dec. 18, 2003.
