Last Friday I spoke with Marie O'Sullivan former researcher at the Killarney Center. For one thing she told me what it says on the Killarney Genealogical Center's site is inaccurate: "Service suspended at present due to the computerisation of genealogical records" http://www.irishroots.net/Kerry.htm She said no work was being done as far as she new and was unaware of any plans to resurrect the center. She said the main problem was funding. I asked if they had more clients if that would have helped, she said it would have made the situation worse as research had to be manually done despite what was inputted in the computer. The computers they had were so slow and archaic and slow, and on some were DOS based that they were useless as a data base for their research. When
