    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: HANSON, NILSDATTER Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/4EC.2ACE/743.1 Message Board Post: I appreciate the earlier email about this family. Let me clarify this for you. This family was in the Coon Valley, Bad Ax or Vernon, Wisconsin area in 1860 and 1870. He appears in Jefferson Township in Monroe County Wisconsin in 1880. I do not find any references to him being alive in 1900. Therefore, I was interested in finding out if He(Ellef) died in Monroe County Wisconsin and if any of his children possibly show up in Monroe County Wisconsin vital records for this county. Marriages Etc. I would like to see if there is any vital information in Vernon County Wisconsin too. Here is his family. Elleff Hanson b. 1824 in Gausdal, Norway. Came here in 1856 and settled in Coon Valley Wisconsin along with his brother Hans Henrik Hanson. Ellef and Hans were twin brothers. Ellef married to Elisabeth Nilsdatter on July 15, 1852 in Gausdal, Norway. Had two children in Norway. Nils Ellefson b. September 29, 1852 and Hans Ellefson b. November 15, 1854. Do not know whether these two son kept the Ellefson surname or went with Hanson or Hansen later. Elisabeth Nilsdatter was born around 1825 in Norway and died between 1868 and 1880 in either Vernon or Monroe County, Wisconsin. Other children of Ellef and Elisabeth Hanson or Hansen. Hannah b. 1857 in Vernon Wisconsin Randina b. looks like March 1859 in Vernon, Wisconsin Martha b. 1863 in Wisconsin Theodore b. 1864 in Wisconsin Carolina b. 1867 in Wisconsin The later kids could have been born in Vernon County Wisconsin. IF someone familar with both Counties mentioned would look up and see if anything comes up. Please let me know. Jeff Jeppson MT. EDEN, KENTUCKY
