Richard and family were in NY by 1842. Abraham , my gr-gr-grandfather lived in Chicktowaga Township, Erie Co. before coming to Wisconsin. James Buss of Sherman, Chautauqwua, NY, born @ 1799 in Eng, may be one of the brothers, James Buss of Whitestown, Onieda, NY , b. 1820 in Eng,is another possibility, as is James J.
