    1. [WIMONROE ] Church Records
    2. Searching for any church or town records that would have been in Tunnel City in the 1860s & 1870s, that records are still available. My grandfather, Edgar Whitcomb, was born in Greenfield; his father Frank & wife, Laura Porter (married in Tuunel City 1868), uncle Frederick and grandfather Levi, with wife Mary Jane, resided there. Also, Laura's mother, Eliza Greenslit Porter Murray, with husband George, lived there in that time. Ken Whitcomb/Honolulu, Hawaii

    3. Hello.. My husband and I are leaving for Wisconsin in the morning and will be going to Sparta where we will be doing research. I'll see if I can find anything for you in the records they have there at the Monroe County Local History Museum and Research Room. They have an e-mail address but right now I can't find it. My mother's sister married a Porter in Necedah which is what piqued my interest. I am from Tomah which is very near Tunnel City as you may know. 3. Ken, Thank you for your recent inquiry into the Whitcomb family. We have some dates and some info on Laura Porter. We need to have your physical address to send it to you. Thank you.
