Mr. Keating had been troubled for several days with is throat and on Thursday drove to the city from his farm in the town of Glendale to consult a doctor who advised him to go to Milwaukee for treatment at a hospital. He went to Milwaukee on Friday and died Sunday afternoon following an operation with what was termed to be malignant diptheria. The deceased was a highly respected resident of the town of Glendale, about 49 years of age and leaves a wife and two small children. The remains were brought to the city Monday evening on No. 513 in a sealed casket and taken to the undertaking rooms of F. J. Holden. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning at St. Patricks Catholic church by Rev. Fr. J. S. Campbell and the remains were moved from the undertaking rooms to the Catholic cemetery, following the services at the church, with an escort of Knights of Columbus.
