Hi James Sophia Maria Kastens is my Grandmother. However, according to my records, she was married to August Heeler June 26, 1912 in Monroe County. Perhaps this is not the Sophia you are looking for. But August Heeler's sister, Ida Pauline was married to Fred August Birkholz, March 18, 1887, in Monroe County. I could not find any other Sophia Kastens in my Family Tree notes, but I will look in the County records the next time I go to Sparta register of deeds. Do you have any more information what the G L stands for in Mr Birkholz's name?
