The family moved to Wisconsin sometime in the 1840's. According to my info, they settled in Hebron, Jefferson Co. first, then, later went to Monroe Co. Eliphalet married Matilda Bridget Moody at Hebron in 1853. His Civil War records list him as enlisting from Cold Spring, which is a neighboring township to Hebron in Jefferson Co. Eliphalet and Matilda must have moved their family up to Monroe Co. after the Civil War. In the 1870's they moved the family to Blue Earth Co., Minnesota. Their oldest son Joseph, my great-grandfather, is listed with them in the 1880 census, along with his wife, Amanda Elizabeth Bowen ! from Freeborn County, who he married in 1876, and their first daughter Amanda. Do you know any more about Nelson Carver, his father? Or the rest of the family? What side of the family are you researching?
