I have worked on this tree for almost 25 years and continue to add and document many to this family. Thomas and Melissa had children 1) Bernard Leo, died in WW I, 2) Florence Rose (born 1897) who married a Mr. Boyd, 3) Thomas Harold (1899-1950) who married Eloise Simpson (and they both died at Sparta,Monroe Co., WI 4) Robert Emmet (1903-1995) who married Sarah S. ___? and who died at Lodi, Columbia Co., WI 5) Helen Estelle (born 1907) no further information known and finally 6) Marcella born around 1908. Thomas and Meliss were born in Wisconsin, Thomas in 1868 and Melissa (Mitt/Mittie) in the same year. They are both buried in the St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Sparta, Monroe County, WI. Thomas was the son of Bernard Rice of Ireland and his wife Rose McGinnis of Ireland. Melissa was the daughter of Robert LaRue (born in OH and came to WI with a group of his brothers) and his wife, whom he married in Monroe County, Florence Tolles.
