The farm consisted of 234 acres. The farm was purchased from Fred et ux by the U.S. government sometime between 1940 & 1942 and is now included in the Fort McCoy military reservation. The barn basement is crumbling but is still recognizable as is the house foundation. The apple trees in the front yard were still bearing up until a couple years ago, and of course the usual lilac bushes are still thriving.
