Jeffries , a resident of this vicinity (Tomah,WI)many years ago and a veteran of the Civil War died at his home in Austin.MN. died on Mach 27, 1919. His illness and death resulted from a broken hip from which he suffeered about 4 months. He had reached an advanced age of 86 years and is survived by his wife and 10 children. One of his children live in Tomah Mrs. Frnak Edgerton . All of his children were with him at the last and attended his funeral.(Source of Information is "Tomah Journal"Friday April 11, 1919.
