I remember him repairing the tub of my coaster wagon. Harold Grabitske purchased the shop and continued to operate it for many years. During that time a new building was constructed just south of the original and the original building was razed. This building still remains, but Harold moved again from that building to a much larger building to the south again. The river you probably are referring to is the "Little La Crosse River " which runs through Leon and at one time furnished power for a flour mill there. A flood took out the dam years ago and the mill has since been razed. Hope this helps put things in perspective for you.
