He retired from farming and moved to a house in the village of Leon SE corner Leon and Main streets. His son, Ellis R. m. Gertrude Schmitz, took over the farm. There is a Rueben Hohn buried in the Leon cemetery, Ellis and "Gertie" are buried in the Saint Patrick Cemetery Sparta. You can access many Monroe county cemeteries at: www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/w/monroe/m-cem.htm I did not know Reuben or Mae but knew Ellis and Gertie quite well--we were always glad to go to the Hohn's for threshing,silo filling or corn shredding because Gertie was a very good cook!!
