My great grandmother, Minnie Snyder and her sister Dorothy Snyder came from Cattaragus Co. NY. They both married in Monroe County. Dorothy (Dora) Snyder married Charles Rumppe in 1855 and Wilhelmina (Minnie) married George Wilgrubs in 1863. Their mother, Elizabeth Magdalena Anna (Rosenow) Schneider also spelled Snyder or Snider, also came after the death of her husband in 1859. They had arrived as a family in the US in 1852 from Drusewitz, Mechlenburg. Some associated surnames were Berg and Job.
