With FREE genealogy, you get what you pay for (grin)... Even with a search engine, the service depends upon the webmaster and the server, as when new pages are added, the search engine has to be re-indexed - so, it might take a few hours, to a few weeks, depending upon the schedule. However, If you check out the main pages of MonroeCoWI http://www.rootsweb.com/~wimonroe - there are three separate search engines - if you don't find your surname name - it doesn't mean they were not there, only that the information may not be on the website. 3. If anyone is looking at vital records in Tomah, I would greatly appreciate having the date of the following marriage: Mary Popenfus, born May 28, 1858, likely in Sieroslaf (Posen area), Poland to: Joseph Ratkowski. Couple married in Tomah. The family came in about 1882. I would assume the marriage occurred between 1882 and 1900. source: partial letter found in late grandmother's belongings. Another Popenfus sister was said to be Elizabeth, married to a Mr. Latzkowski. Should anyone run into these names, I would appreciate the dates of the marriages. I will order the records. I am just not sure the clerks will search a range of years. Thank you. Dianne
