I have Ludwig and Frederika in my file, but haven't yet connected to them. I am almost certain though, that they relate to my Schulz line because they are buried in what looks like the same family plot as a bunch of my Schulz'. This plot is located in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, near Tomah, Monroe County, WI. I have photographs of the graves if this would interest you. Danielle, I just received a copy (from Audrey at MCLHR) of the members of the Schultz family buried at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. I notice that the later generations of the family are not listed - most are some of their children who died at a young age. I have some questions about Fredericka and Ludwig and their family (their son Albert is my gr.grandfather.) Please write to me off-list. Thanks. Hi James, Have you been to the Warrens Mills cemetery or the St. Paul Lutheran cemetery in Wilton? I ask because I had an email conversation with a "A. John Birkholz" last summer. He currently lives in Montana but has Birkholz roots in Monroe County, WI. Not long after this conversation I visited Monroe County (as I do every summer) and I copied down some of the gravestones that I encountered in both cemeteries... If you've been there you likely already have the information...but if not, and if you are interested, let me know and I'll write it in an email for you... Best wishes, Bonnie =James Birkholz= wrote: > > Two Birkholz brothers settled in Monroe county in the 1880's (one near > Warrens, the other near Wilton). Two Birkholz brothers settled in Monroe county in the 1880's (one near Warrens, the other near Wilton). I have discovered records for two unknown Birkholzs who apparently preceded them. Can anyone provide any more clues about Christine and her mother Louisa? How about the Rosenow family? Was it large? Are there descendants or researchers? James Birkholz [email protected] Christine Birkholz marries Wilhelm Rosenow, 3-12-1872 in Monroe Co., Wisconsin (Wisconsin Marriages, 1854-1900) Louisa Birkholz, b. Sep 1810 in Germany (m-in-law of William Rosenow in Monroe County) (Wisconsin 1900 Soundex)
