    1. [WIMONROE ] Restoration of Angelo Oak Grove Cemetery-Monroe County, WI
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Cemetery Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4EC.2ACE/758 Message Board Post: Currently, a small group of concerned people have began work on the restoration and refurbishing of the Angelo Oak Grove Cemetery, located in the Township of Angelo, Monroe County Wisconsin, a couple of miles east of the city of Sparta. This committee began work in 1997, and has developed and is implementing plans to restore the cemetery to an acceptable condition and appearance. Work that has already been completed includes removal of unwanted trees and shrubs, leveling of graves, the building of an informational board, and the beginning of decorative stone entrance gates. Further plans include the continued leveling of graves, straightening and leveling of gravestones, restoration of any deteriorating gravestone, finishing the entrance gate, the construction of a Veterans' Memorial complete with a large flagpole, and the construction of a small storage shed. Right now, we are looking for anyone who would want to help us in a variety of ways. We are in need, of course, of donations to continue on with our projects. We also would be thrilled to recieve the help of anyone living near enough to the Sparta area to come on out and help us out. We also would be interested in getting information from descendants of people buried in the Angelo Oak Grove Cemetery to help us fill in and complete our records. If you have any questions on this, or would like to help us out, please feel free to contact me at daniellenauman@hotmail.com. Thank you very much for your support, Danielle Nauman Sparta, WI daniellenauman@hotmail.com

I will post your query to the MonroeCoWI Message Board and Mailing list, perhaps someone there can help you. PLEASE NOTE: Your request is TOO general - at a minimum request the SURNAME and given name of the person(s) you are seeking, to aid the researcher in your request - Giving a date is even better. The more information you can provide when requesting a FREE LOOKUP the better - time is valuable and general requests are normally disregarded as they are too time consuming. Think of it this way: The requester is asking someone else to take considerable more time and effort than they seem willing to invest in their own request. Many volunteers become discouraged by this, and often will withdraw their offer of free lookups. 3. By chance is Rosedale near or is what is known today as the 4 Corners in the town of Little Falls. I think if you look on some older maps you may find it in that area. This would be the intersection of 71 and 162. I believe that when we had a fire a few years ago in that area this is what they called it. Threw me at first because I have lived in the area for many years and never heard that name before in conjunction with the settlement in that area.
