    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Wilder, Seevall, Clark Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4EC.2ACE/772 Message Board Post: Charles S. Wilder died at his home in Wilton, Wis., Aug. 23, 1921. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. R. H. Seevall of Milwaukee and a sister, Mrs. W. J. Clark of this city. Mr. Wilder was well known to many in Evansville, having spent his boyhood days in this community and later was one of the first employees in the Baker Mfg. Company plant. The Wilton Herald says of him: Mr. Wilder had always taken an active prominent part in civic affairs, was a member of many years of the local Masonic fraternity, proprietor of the local movie house, and up to the time of his death was Justice of the Peace, and Clerk of the local Camp of the Modern Woodmen of America. Funeral services, under the auspices of the local Masonic fraternity, were held from the home Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the impressive service of that Order being rendered, after which the remains were taken to Ontario for burial. The bereaved ones have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community in their great loss. And "Charlie," as he was familiarly known, will be sadly missed by his many friends. 1. [WIMONROE ] KINNEAR Family Photograph Album
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph album which in the front is inscribed "Presented to W.W. KINNEAR Dec 17 1895 By Mr. & Mrs. J. W. MELOY". The album contains 11 photographs, only one with any information. The one photograph of an older woman, probably in her 70's at the time was taken at the Staley Studio in Watertown, South Dakota and says "To Hattie from Grandma" on the back. The other photographs are from Fremont, Nebraska; Eau Claire, Wisconsin; Viroqua, Wisconsin; Cashton, Wisconsin; Ferryville, Wisconsin; and Sparta, Wisconsin; There are resemblances between some of the subjects so I'm assuming they are family photographs. I'm hoping to locate someone from this KINNEAR family so that this wonderful old album can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

Actually, I never knew that Fannie Horbal came to this country in 1926, a little fact from the census. So you did fill in a blank spot on a family group sheet. Actually the elder Louis was my mother's cousin, but the families were never close, thus the need for information. Regards, Dolores

Louis Horbal the son's entry in the Social Security index (where I'd started) didn't mention Kendall, Monroe Co. (last residence). Only his father's entry did, which threw me onto him instead of Louis Jr. Your query mentioned that your Louis Horbal died in July '71; SSDI actually has the father as July '91 and the son as July 1975. Wish I had something on Louis Jr. for you, Dolores. Don't give up the ship ~:-) Best! Kathe

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4EC.2ACE/759.1 Message Board Post: Hi Dolores ~ I checked the Social Security death index for your Louis Horbal and I see that he was born in 1905 and, though he died in Kendall, Monroe Co. (WI), he got his original social security card in Illinois. Using that information about him, I tracked him down in the 1930 U.S. census for you and it gives you more information about him. In 1930 there were only 2 Louis Horbals living in the U.S. Only one was born at the time of your Louis. Here's the information on your Louis Horbal, then: 1930 U.S. Census ~ Chicago, Cook Co., IL: household: HORBAL, Louis -- head of house, age 25, born Germany, to U.S. in 1915, naturalized citizen, married at age 24, occupation: punch press, wire factory, veteran: WWI, parents born Germany. HORBAL, Fannie -- wife, age 23, born Germany, to U.S. in 1926, alien, married at age 22, parents born Germany. Hope that information on him helps you out, Dolores. Best ~ Kathe C.
