BTW, Elroy was formerly Fowlers Prarie. Many "towns" are no longer in existence - so Mapquest wouldn't help you. I will post this so perhaps someone else will have the answer??? R/S MAK +++++++++ I'm trying to locate a Cemetery in either Monroe or Juneau county and wonder if you can help. Map Quest does not recognize Millard's Prairie but I did find this info: The first United Brethren Church (U.B.C.), was organized in Wisconsin in 1872 near Monroe and soon a second church was started in Elroy. Later, in 1873, another church was founded at Millards Prairie, Wisconsin. A seminary was established in Elroy and opened for operation in 1874. From its inception the church placed an emphasis on missionary activities. The church had its roots in pietism and promoted the role of the laity within its organization. These beliefs influenced the doctrinal dogma of the church. I have also seen it referred to as in "rural Elroy". Evidently Millards Prairie is a "place" but MapQuest doesn't know where it is. Thanks! Mr. Keating had been troubled for several days with is throat and on Thursday drove to the city from his farm in the town of Glendale to consult a doctor who advised him to go to Milwaukee for treatment at a hospital. He went to Milwaukee on Friday and died Sunday afternoon following an operation with what was termed to be malignant diptheria. The remains were brought to the city Monday evening on No. 513 in a sealed casket and taken to the undertaking rooms of F. J. Holden. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning at St. Patricks Catholic church by Rev. Fr. J. S. Campbell and the remains were moved from the undertaking rooms to the Catholic cemetery, following the services at the church, with an escort of Knights of Columbus.
