    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/4EC.2ACE/787.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Dee, thank you so much for responding. I was at the Child Center last weekend. I was told at the Visitors Center in Sparta about the reunion. Is that just for staff or babies/children who were at the Center? I would LOVE to talk to someone who worked there in the 50's, especially with the babies. I did learn that in the early 50's the Child Center had its highest number of babies/children, around 400. That seems a lot for those smaller buildings! I didn't like walking through the golf course to get to the cemetery! Poor planning I think. If you know of names to contact, I would appreciate them. Thank you again! Anna

    3. Hello. Jarrod from the Monroe Co. Local History Room here... We used to sell copies of the Pictorial History. Unfortunately we are all sold out and the group that created the book back in 1976 has no immediate plans of reprinting it. We have copies here available to look at. Or, you could contact the Sparta Free Library (608-269-2010) to request a copy through interlibrary loan. Jarrod M. Roll Monroe County Historian Monroe County Local History Room & Museum 200 W. R/S MAK http://www.rootsweb.com/~wimonroe +++++ I recently came into posession of the marriage certificate of Homer J. Berryman and Sarah Larmer, dated 25 July 1901, and am attempting to identify any living descendants to see if they would be interested in having this document (at no charge, other than maybe postage or such incidental expenses) as a family heirloom. This is a really beautiful document in excellent condition and I would like to see it go to the, or some, rightful owners. Do your records indicate any descendants from this marriage? Or perhaps you have a local historical society that may be interested? Thank you for any efforts you can make on this. Signed, Ronald J. Benisch <elkhair55@centurytel.net> 512 W. Her mother was named Frances Mensen and was born 1897 and died around 1982 also. I would hope that their is an obituary, or wedding license with her birth name on it. Genevieve was adopted by Henry Mensen. The marriage license for Frances may have more info on it , if it has her maiden name.Genevieve's obituary may name her real father as she spent some time in an orphanage with her sister. 3. At the corner of Highway 12 and 21 (stop light) if you are going south on 12 towards Tomah, turn left onto 21, you would be going east, then go until you see a sign pointing left which says Blue Wing. This left turn takes you to the old Indian Cemetery. the Wood Cemetery is on this road. I do not know the name of the road, we were just up that way on Tuesday.
