I'm hoping someone can find a Frank Stone married to a Theresia H. Dolen in Wisconsin in the 1910 Census. Frank would be 37 and Theresia would be 34. They were both born in Wisconsin. Married in 1897 in Monroe County. By 1920 they were in Washington State, but I can't find them there in 1910. Thanks for any help you can give! Joni Calgary, AB
Can anyone give me ideas for finding school records for the years 1870 - 1890 for Norwalk Wisconsin. Any chance of school directories, photo yearbooks, etc. I am making a trip to WI from the East Coast and I am trying to maximize my time! Thank you all. Kathy Hornung
I think your best bet might be to go to the Monroe County Local History Room & Museum at 200 W. Main Street, Sparta, Monroe, Wisconsin, 54656. The telephone there is 608-269-8680. The Monroe County Historian there is Jarrod Roll. The e-mail address: mclhr@centurytel.net Incidentally, the people there are most helpful. Good luck! B. R/S MAK http://www.rootsweb.com/~wimonroe +++ My aunt Naomi Jane Putman was buried in Mount Hope cemetery Sparta Wisconsin ion . Date of Burial was 7 March 2001. Her Father was Jacob Putman and he was buried 1936 he was born 1883 . His wife Margaret Abbie Young Putman was buried 1934 and she was born 1834 . I am doing a Genealogy search on my aunt. The Family lore is that one of her relatives was General Putman. Is there anyone I could contact to further research this Genealogy. I would be also interested in any information that Mount Hope Cemetery could provide. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Regards. Stan Gawel from Philadelphia area <SPGJLG@aol.com+++>

According to Trond on the Norway Heritage.com forum Ole Olsen Rinden 44(a cotter) left laurdal in 1861 with his wife Birgit Reiersdatter 34,Torjus b. 1855-05-20 and Kari age 4(aparently 4 months) bound for Quebec.I have traced Ole and Kari to the Larson Pioneer cemetery,Cannon Valley Wisconsin. Ole 1866 age 51, Kari 1868 age 7. I also found the Betsey you found on the 1880 census but the age does not compute. So---the search continues. Ralph
