    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4EC.2ACE/935 Message Board Post: A new project has been started to honor the pioneering families of St Mary's Ridge. We are seeking information on ancestors and descendants of these families. We also would like photos and any stories that relate to their lives. If you have any interesting information on the church or the region, we would also like to see this too. If you are interested in being a part of this committee, and you are able to attend monthly meetings in and around the Cashton area, please let me know by emailing me at the address at the bottom of this email. Below is the list of some of the names that are being researched. We expect that we'll have at least twice as many families before we are done. So if you have another surname that you would like to see included, please let me know. Feel free to respond to me by email. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4EC.2ACE/928.1.1 Message Board Post: MAK--I wonder the same thing--can that many children vanish into thin air??? I have found a deed dated May 1873 where John Cannon sold part of a 40 acre parcel to George Dinger, then at a later date another deed signed by John Cannon and wife (she signed her name as "BELONA") and a still later deed where John sold the remainder of the original 40 acre parcel to George Dinger. On this later deed John was listed as a "single man". When I was researching the Cannons at that time I was only interested in finding the gravesite location, which as you know from the info I "snail mailed" to you, I suceeded in doing. Now it appears I need to retrace my steps to get specific dates on these deeds and try to establish a more accurate timeline. I acquired the family info that I quoted from the Monroe County Local History Room where the 1860 census had been transcribed and I wonder if the difference between BELONA AND BELENA could have occured in the transcription??
