Judith-- many thanks for trying to help. But I still think it would be courteous to address a list administrator via his or her personal name. In any case, please tell me how a non-RootsWeb staff peon can ascertain the name of a list administrator (if this is possible). Maybe this moot now that (as of today) I ended up posting an unintended NJEssex email without even trying!! But a few months ago I was unable to figure out how to report that I could then receive NJEssex postings-- but could not successfully send them. Indeed should I have properly addressed this matter to someone more lofty (Him?) than a list administrator? Maybe, unbeknownst to me, I had been banished from the NJEssex list-- and then readmitted today to a State of Grace through Divine Intervention .........John ______________________________________________________ Subj: Re: [NJESSEX] duck apologies Date: 6/5/2005 10:21:00 A.M. You can reach any RootsWeb list administrator by using the formula -- so in this case . You should get an answer within a few days. If you don't hear back within a couple of weeks (allowing for vacations at this time of year especially) contact the Helpdesk from the RootsWeb home page. Sometimes lists are abandoned or something happens to the list admin; they will check into it. good luck, Judith Werner Salt Lake City, Utah, USA RootsWeb List Administrator ----------------- Original Message: Subj: [NJESSEX] duck apologies Date: 6/5/2005 9:30:04 A.M. My computer expertise is limited, and I have no idea why this duck stuff slipped out of my computer archives and was delivered ONLY to the NJEssex list. In fact, for some reason, I haven't intentionally been able to send out ANY emails whatsoever via AOL for the last 36 hours or so-- until now, apparently.....
