I am new to the list and researching the name Charles Herman Plotz/Ploetz born about 1849 in Germany. I don't know what area of Germany he was born in. I haven't had any luck finding him on passenger lists. I know there are a lot of Plotz/Ploetz's in the Milwaukee area and I would appreciate knowing where your families originated. This information should give me a starting point. Charles married Lucy Anderson Street in Goderich, Canada, 22 Jan 1875. This was the first time I found his name spelled Ploetz.
