Hello listers I am new to this list, although I am on a few in England. I am hoping someone can help me. I am trying to trace the ancestors of my grandmother's GRIMES family. The main family made up of my grandmother's parents, John Grimes, born in Llangwm, Pembrokeshire, Wales, mother Sarah and sons Harry and Cyril and daughter Nellie, emigrated to Milwaukee in 1915 from Gillingham in Kent, although I believe two of the sons, George and Thomas may have arrived earlier in 1913. Nellie married in Wisconsin and had twin daughters, (I have a photo of Nellie and the girls); Cyril was drowned at the " New Lido" in 1916 at the age of 16. I have found Harry in the 1920 census "28street" and George in "29 Street". Does any of this ring a bell with anyone and how can I get access to the "births, marriages and deaths" of Milwaukee?
