This is a long shot, but I would appreciate any new ideas or help. I need to find an obituary for my great-great-great grandmother: RACHAEL, aka REGINA, LANGENFELD REIBOLD, Date of death: December 11, 1864. Age at death: 34. Recorded in the records of Trinity Catholic Church. Wife of Martin. Daughter of Peter Langenfeld and Barbara Feit Langenfeld. Mother of Elizabeth, Emma, Martin, and Sarah. There is nothing about this death in the following records: Milwaukee Sentinel Milwaukee Probate Records (nothing under her husband either) Milwaukee County death records Trinity's cemetery records (apparently all before sometime in early 1900 were destroyed) No grave stone anywhere in Trinity. Buffalo, New York papers Languages Rachael might have spoken: English. She was either born in New York or else here by age one or two. German. Parents sometimes list Germany as place of origin. Husband was from Hessen-Darmstadt. French. Family may have lived in Alsace. I do not know whether this death may have been reported in any German language papers in Milwaukee. I want to know what happened to her. There is no infant death recorded at Trinity along with hers, so childbirth may NOT be the likely cause. Thanks for any help or suggestions.
