Port Washington Road, Glendale. The group defines the North Shore as Shorewood, Whitefish Bay, Glendale, Brown Deer, Bayside, Fox Point and River Hills. Of those, only Brown Deer and Shorewood have active historical societies, said Alan Eisenberg, a spokesman for the group. The group does not intend to supplant existing organizations but to share information and gather pictures, artifacts and other items of interest. Eisenberg said the group hopes to establish a Web site and conduct "virtual historical tours" and plans to offer a tour of historical North Shore places sometime this summer.
