Hi, I'm researching the Hoppe family from Germany. Wilhelm Hoppe b. 7/14/1839 in Germany, immigrating in July 1873. He married Augusta BUBLITZ in Milwaukee, WI 7/16/ 1874 a year after arriving in Wisconsin. At this time it's believed that Wilhelm immigrated with his daughter, Anna Caroline Auguste Hoppe b. April 9, 1872. Wilhelm is the s/o Wilhelm and Josephine EBERT. He has one known sister; Anna Friederike Caroline b. Dec. 1841 in Germany. She married Johann Christian Frederick PETERS in Milwaukee. Wilhelm and Augusta's children: Martha, Robert, and Bertha. 1. Anna Married Rudolph Ludwig Ferdinand KROLL. They had the following children: Henry, Adeline, Harry, Herbert, Lilly, Clarence, Ester, and Roy. 2. Martha married Paul R. KROENING and had the following children: Martha, Arthur, and Laura. 3. Robert F. married (first) Anna C. RAEDLEIN and (second) Rose SCHMIDT. Robert and Anna children: Gerald, Herbert, and Leona. Rose and Robert had no children together. 4. Bertha married John LEMKE. They had the following children: Viola, Lawrence, Clarence (twins), and Hazel. Does anyone have a connection to this family group? I'd like to share info. Thanks, ~Michelle

Michelle, I think you and I have corresponded in the past...I am the "other" HOPPE Researcher with family in the Milwaukee area. I just got back from vacation and am 1200 e-mails behind..so after catch-up, I'll see if I have added anything new which may connect our lines....mine come from Kreis Greifenberg; Pomerania. Many are buried at Wanderer's Rest in Milwaukee (It has a different name now-can't think of what the new name for this old cemetery changed to.) I live in Washington State and will not likely be returning to Wisconsin...where do you live?
