My aunt's family originated in the Virovitica area of Croatia and ended up in Milwaukee, for some of the family after a stop in New York state. The names include: Safer / Schaeffer, ended up in Milwaukee Bakic, same Vukovic, same, and New York state Faculjak, Milwaukee area Firsch / Fierst, Milwaukee and New York state Wirtz, Milwaukee Prebig / Prebeg Myola Ribarich, in New York state Hartung Grant and in Milwaukee, Ondrigcka, Holicek, Nowak and others I'd be delighted to hear from someone else who is also researching these names from the Croatian Hungarian border area.
