Any chance the SPINK name may have been shortened from SPINKA? I am related to a SPINKS/SPINKA Family from Bachditz (sp??), Prague, Bohemia (Austro-Hungary)... Catharina SPINKA (born 1811), daughter of Anton and Catharine married Matthias BOEHM (born 1816). They married in 1869 in Milwaukee, Wisocnsin....??? Would this be a clue for you?
