Hello, I'm a little late in the game here, I haven't seen all the messages, so not sure if this has been suggested yet, or if you friend has access to online, but there is a great mailing list on Rootsweb for Pommerania (subject) that is bilingual German/English and offers free live person translations of German so I would guess for Polish as well, since it covers current day Poland, so I'm sure she could ask for referrals; I remember some discussion about it on the list, and it is a very active and helpful list. Probably the same would apply with her specific region of Poland of interest, it doesn't hurt to ask; I've always had help w/ translations when I needed it.
