Our database includes several hundred OGDENs-- also fifteen BEACHES of NJ, including Noah Beach, b. 1705; Walter B. Beach, 1839-1866 (husband of Caroline E. Magie, both of Montclair, NJ); and also Edwin El Beach, 1890-1963) and his family. A long list of names will probably require more research time on my part ............John (in metro Chicago) ________________________________________________________ Subj: Re: [NJESSEX] OGDEN Ancestry Date: 6/9/2007 9:52:22 P.M. Ogden was born in Walton [Delaware County], New York. When still a teenager, his father died and Ogden took over the family real estate business.... Ogden was a leading promoter and investor in the Illinois and Michigan Canal, then switched his loyalty to railroads. Throughout his later life, Ogden was heavily involved in the building several railroads [including the Chicago & North Western and the Union Pacific]. ________________________________________________________ ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
