Ok-A friend of mine put me in touch with a current Funeral Home on S 27th St in Milwaukee. He says that was Larsen Brothers which is now Church & Chapel. Larsen Sr died & either his sons or nephew are currently running it. I asked him abt records-he says generally the records go to the next owner or to a next of kin of owner. If you know where funeral Home was in Milwaukee t& is no longer try calling around to a few. Someone their may know who to contact for records. No idea what state it is in now but I was given a phone # to call of a 262 area code. I left a message on Ted Larsens voice mail since he had just left the office a bit before I called. Someone with some time to search could go to wisconsin.gov and look around for information on what happens to old records. It would probably be found in the section related to the Dept. of Administration. That doesn't mean every mortuary would have done the right thing and turned their records over. I don't have a clue what the rules are for such businesses, but that would be the place to look. There is probably some state mortuary group, too. I think someone posted about it in the past. mrf Dale Schmitz wrote: > Speaking of mortuaries, what happens to the records after a funeral parlor > closes?
