I have an old picture, of my Grandmother with her father, in front of their store, named after him"Fred Stock", taken in 1888. It says 577, and was also on Green Bay Ave., Originally a book store, cards, picture frames store, but in the 1900's, became a bicycle store, too. -----Original Message----- From: wimilwau-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:wimilwau-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of wimilwau-request@rootsweb.com Sent: Thursday, May 10, 2007 9:06 PM To: wimilwau@rootsweb.com Subject: WIMILWAU Digest, Vol 2, Issue 101 Today's Topics: 1. Jim Doyle's proposed fee increases bit the dust Tuesday in the Legislature's budget committee. Doyle had proposed $8 million a year worth of fee increases for vital records. The governor had wanted to raise the fee to obtain copies of certificates of birth, death, marriage and divorce. The extra money was to be used in part to finance automation of the state's vital records. Instead, that project will be paid for with general state tax revenue and other sources. The budget plan being worked on by the Joint Finance Committee must clear both the Republican-controlled Assembly, Democratic-led Senate and be signed by Doyle before it becomes law. ------------------------------ Message: 2 Date: Wed, 09 May 2007 08:50:55 -0500 From: "Mary R. To: wimilwau@rootsweb.com Message-ID: <c76.1069bddf.33748ba4@aol.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Hello, I have been looking for my great uncle Theodore Paschke. I have not found him on the 1910, 1920 nor 1930 US census using multiple search strategies. I do have his WWI draft card and he lived at 1804 Greenbay Avenue. I would think that on the 1920 census he should be living close to that address if not at the same place. Any ideas on which Ward or ED this address would be? I'm ready to browse census rolls, but would like to cut down on unnecessary Wards or EDs. Thank you. Green Bay Ave., so I knew the area fairly well. As I recall, Green Bay Ave. began at Burleigh -- about 5 blocks south of Dad's store. If my memory serves me correctly, then Green Bay would only have gone south to about the 2800 block. So are you sure about that 1804 address? Maybe you should try 2804 instead? Hope this helps and doesn't only confuse. This is on Green Bay, between Capitol and Maurice (but close to the corner of Capitol and Green Bay. According to the 1930 ED finder on www.stevemorse.org, this would have been the 40-269 ED in 1930. Using the 1930-1920 ED converter on the same site, you should check the following 1920 EDs: 252, 253, 309. mrf Liz Heffren wrote: > Dan, > > Back in the 1930's and 40's my Dad had a store at 3305 N.
