Hi, I am wondering if anyone can check city directories for 1925 up to 1960's for an Albert J. Kubitz born March 1888 in Wis. Need multiple years looked up to determine what year he may have went to Milwaukee & how long he lived there. Any help appreciated, Thank you, Kathy

Hi, sorry I goofed on dates. I am wondering if anyone can check city directories for Milwaukee 1925 up to 1949 for an Albert J. Kubitz born March 1888 in Wis. Trying to determine his death date in 1940's plus wifes name plus approx year he moved to Milwaukee. Any help appreciated, Thank you, Kathy

Kathy, the Social Security Death Index shows an Albert born 17 March 1888 who died in January 1964. Might that be him? If not, how do you know your guy died in the 1940's? 1920 census shows an Albert Kubitz (33) boarding over the state line in Waukegan, with a Blanche Johnson (36), divorced. Then in 1930 there is an Albert J. Kubitz (42) with a Blanche Kubitz (50) living in Milwaukee. Albert's age matches up, but the census says they were first married when he was 26 and she was 34, which doesn't quite match with the 1920 pair, who were not married at the time, unless they both had previous marriages. Hi, My girlfriends father was just entering or had been in high school when he died which was in the 1940's. He was born in 1932. He is VERY ADAMENT Albert died in late1940's. To many coincidences for this NOT to be him. I was sent this Alberts draft record a few days ago & it says he was born in T of Freedom, Wi on 17 March 1888. So this has to be him. I am going to see if I can get this Alberts obit since it says he died 31 Jan 1964 in Wauwatosa, Milwauke Co. per Vital Records Index. Keeping my fingers crossed he is whom I am seeking.
