Hi Ashley: The libraries in Milwaukee County were totally useless for me but you may have better luck. My ancestor settled in Milwaukee County in 1842 and not even the historical/genealogical societies have anything on him! I searched everywhere and the only source that had anything on my Henry Lieber was the Sentinel. They sent me 2 obits on him and one other article. I was at least able to find out that he was survived by his wife and nine children and where he actually died. I agree with you - only I think that if you can prove your direct relationship, you shouldn't have to pay for the death cert. Good Luck to you!
