Just exactly what does it include? All Wisconsin counties? I would be interested in Milw., Green Bay, Town of Lake, Theinsville, Granville, and several more. I'm not sure that I would need other states. Would it be worth it for me to purchase it? I would love to have it to work on in my own home :-) Thanks for any input you can give me. Jean

    3. I have the 1880 US Federal LDS census. I am very impressed with it. It is not actual census images, but transcribed information (but not all details - see below). It is for the entire US! You get abt. 56 CDs for $49.00. That includes the index which takes up most of the CDs. The rest of the CDs have the information and are divided into Regions. The details it provdes are: Census Place FHL film # National Archives # Page # Individual details, if provided, for the census are: Name Relationship to Family Sex Marital Status Color Age Birthplace You can also check out their neighbors! The LDS did an excellant job of putting this together and even provides a nice 4 ring binder to keep all the CDs in! In my humble opinion if there was an award for genealogy deal of the year, this would win hands down! I am not afilliated with LDS/FHL/FHC in any way. Those who think they might be interested in purchasing the LDS 1880 census CDs should visit their website at www.familysearch.org ----- Original Message ----- From: <Jazinski@aol.com> To: <WIMILWAU-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, July 13, 2001 3:23 PM Subject: Re: [WiMilwau] ancestry.com In a message dated 7/13/01 6:23:24 AM Mountain Daylight Time, BrennaJne@aol.com writes: << Also have the 1880 whole U.S. census from LDS and it is great Lenora from Wisconsin >> Hi Lenora, I'm really interested in buying the 1880 U.S. census from LDS. 3. Jean I am also interested in getting information about the Town of Lake. I recently sent to the Register of Deeds for a search of the birth of my great grandmother, Pauline LEVERENZ. Her obituary said she was born in 1862 in the Town of Lake. Do you know if this was a township and was it in Milwaukee County? The Milwaukee County office did not seem to know about it. Thank you for any information. Right up the street from me :) I'm not sure if Town of Lake became Cudahy or became part of Cudahy or what happened, but it was definitely part of Milwaukee County and parts of it were in Cudahy in the early 1900's.
