Hi all, I came across the name of my ggreat-grandparents in the 1890 Milwaukee city directory (Ancestry's online version) and I was hoping someone could help me with the information it gives. Under a column labeled "Location 2" it lists "1309 Vliet." I assume this is an address but the name of the street looks like it's abbreviated, does this ring a bell with anyone? The complete listing given is John Reschlein, occupation - molder, Location 2 - 1309 Vliet., City - Milwaukee, State - WI, year 1890 If this is an address, does anyone know what Ward and E.D. this location would have been in in 1900? Thanks
Your ggreat grandparents lived on 13th and Vliet. Vliet is the correct name, it is not abbreviated. j.
