ZIPFEL at 1315 Cherry St. <see: http://www.ancestry.com/search/rectype/inddbs/4749.htm>. But I now think I subsequently neglected to mention that, about a month ago, when I was reviewing some early Milwaukee directories at the main Milwaukee Public Library, I noticed that Kasimir Zipfel also began to be listed in these directories beginning about 1868-- and at the same 1315 Cherry St. address. In the late 1860s Kasimir was apparently the only ZIPFEL listed in these directories. Cherry Street addresses may not have changed much since the Civil War. But 1315 Cherry in the old 9th Ward, densely populated (mostly German?) even in the 1850s, might now be 1315 West Cherry St.-- in the very unlikely event that this Zipfel home still exists. I suspect that many old 9th Ward buildings disappeared during the rioting following the 1968 assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. ........John ============================== Add as many as 10 Good Years To Your Life If you know how to reduce these risks. http://www.thirdage.com/health/wecare/hearthealth/index.html
