    2. Hello, I am researching the Gengler line, as well as the Diderrich and Schmit lines. I am a direct descendent of Adam Gengler who immigrated here form Everlange, Luxembourg to the Granville/Brown Deer area in 1846. Which Gengler/Diderrich/Schmit doe you descend from? Cindy

    3. Cindy, I am related to a Detrich (?sp) line by way of a marriage of a Margaret LINGER/LENGER/LANGER. I am also related to a MICHEL(S), MICHAEL(S) line. George Michels (abt. 1809-1868) first purchased land in the Town of Belgium, which is about 8 miles north of Port Washington. He got the land through a land patent from the United States Bureau of Land Division. He and his wife Anna Maria (maiden name THELEN or THIELEN) later sold the land and purchased land in the Thiensville area. This was where EVA/AVAH was born September 09, 1847. George's daughter, Eva/Avah, married Dr. Christian LINGER. Dr. LINGER had a sister named Margaret ( who married a Dedarich/Detrich. She and her husband are baptismal sponsors for a child baptized at St. Anthony's in what was Fussville. Eva was born September 09, 1847 in Thiensville, Ozaukee Co., Wisconsin. Christian LINGER's father was Christian LENGER (January 10, 1810-February 25, 1896). Elizabeth Glesius/Klesius was the maiden name of Christian LENGER, Sr.'s wife October 28, 1814-February 07, 1891. I am searching for the death/marriage of Margaret LINGER/LENGER/LANGER--the daughter of Christian and Elizabeth--the sister of Christian LINGER, Jr. Below give the dates/land description... Copy of Deed to George Michels: Grantor: United States of America to Grantee: George Michels for $100.00 Dated July 15, 1846 Volume 6 page 133 The W 1/2 of the NE 1/4 of Section 7-12-22E--cont 80 + or hundredths acres at $1.25 per acre Receipt No 23,440 ============= Grantor: George Michels and Anna Marie his wife to Peter Becker on July 15,1846 The W 1/2 of the NE 1/4 of Section 7-12-22E cont 80 acres be the same more or less In my ggrandfather's funeral book there is a signature for : Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Gengler. Hope you or another researcher finds something familiar..I would love to see a plat map of the Belgium area around 1846..I've often wondered who their neighbors were. Thank you, Susan apetta@netwurx.net ===
