    3. I made my first trip to the Library yesterday and found the following obituaries. In general, it seems that there were very few obituaries in the Milwaukee Journal or Milwaukee Sentinel before the 1920's. I am not done checking yet, so don't freak if your names aren't listed here. I will tell you each for sure whether or not I find your names, once I've finished "looking around." Anything I'm not sure of is noted in brackets. If you want the copies I made, email me off-list to arrange. The first obit (James Owens) was found in the Milwaukee Sentinel. All the rest were found in the Milwaukee Journal. OWENS: 23 Feb 1891, James Owens: OWENS--At New York City, Monday, Feb. 23, 1891, at the Coman house, James Owens, aged 8 years. The remains will be forwarded to Milwaukee for burial. 11 Aug 1912, Mary Elizabeth Owens [not sure about the house address, I'll have to double-check the original, as the copy is obscure]: OWENS--Mary E. Owens, Sunday, Aug. 11, at the age of 75 years. Funeral from the reisdence, 230 Summit Ave., Wednesday, Aug. 14, 1912, at 2 p.m. Burial private. 16 May 1929, James Thomas Owens: OWENS: Thursday, May 16, 1929, James T. Owens, aged 75 years, father of Elizabeth, Mrs. Edna Toppel, Mrs. E. H. Naatz, Mrs. J. D. Huppert, Jams R. and Dr. William H. Owens, at the home, 506 Farwell av. Funeral services at Philip J. Weiss' rooms, Farwell av. and Kane place, Monday at 2 p.m. under auspices of Lakeside lodge No. 147, K. P. Interment Forest Home. Remains at the home until 11 a.m. Monday.
