As others have said, I would go to the cemetery with at least one other person. It does feel a little creepy, especially if you are a woman; it is not located in the best part of town. You may be disappointed if your relatives are in the old section of the cemetery. It appears as an empty section on the cemetery map, but in fact, holds many graves whose markers have long since rotted away. That was the case with my family. Half had nice solid stones and half are in this section with no way to find them. Graceland cemetery on the north side of Milwaukee has index cards with information on them and you can look through those. That is what I did and I found it to be very helpful. Good luck!
