    3. Allene, Waukesha was first known as Prairieville. Very likely the place you are looking for. 3. Thank you to everyone that helped me find Howell Ave. The street is still there, but as S. Howell Ave., starting at about 2200 at Highway 32 and E. Lincoln Ave. and going south. The address 192 Howell doesn't seem to exist any longer. Thanks again everyone. Jim

    3. Ellen: Hope this gets to u as I had a little computer glitz and lost your email. My Christ's don't have any of the names u listed. Bummer! I am in despair over finding anything else about them. I need a census lookup for them in 1870 in WI. They were in New York until 1860. My Bertha (Christ) Kaska (1st married name) Maley (last married name) have small evidence that they may have been in or close to Milwaukee around 1900. Thanks to anyone that may be able to help me. Sandy

    3. Hi Sandy, I have the CD listing the German heads of housholds in the 1870 US Census. If your Christ family is German, I found 2 households in Milwaukee. Frederick, age 48, Ward 5, Roll 1727, page 595. And Sigfried, age 23, Ward 9, Roll 1728, page 360.
