Do you know the first name of your Reynolds inquiry? Read a lot of Milwaukee History and have found many but don't know which one you refer to without looking up each and every one again. Reynold's names in Milwaukee that I have found to date are: HARRIET, HAROLD, EDWIN, MRS. MAXWELL K. nee PHYLLIS MILLER, HUGH P., LYMAN, RICHARD, WILLIAM, TOM, EDWARD, GEORGE F., JOS., U., JOSETTE JUNEAU, MARION, JOHN B., SR., JOHN B., JR., ELIZABETH RUTH, MRS. THOMAS, JAMES, H.P., CHARLES E., J.P. & MRS. nee F. H. TROMLEY, MARGARET, FRED C. MRS. JOHN nee MARY, DR. BELLE, JAMES M. ARIE (MRS. F. D. HUNTER), ELIZABETH A. (MRS. J. J. SELLMAN), CATHERINE (MRS. EDWARD F. SEYBOLD, SR.), MARY ELIZBETH (MRS -Mr. a Doctor - JOHN J. SEELMAN. If any are familiar and you want to know what the references say, please let me know. Bob of Brookfield
Hi...i know your posting wasn't aimed at me but it does fit. I am the great-granddaughter of Dr. John J. Seelman that you mention in the Reynolds listing. Elizabeth Reynolds married him. They had 2 daughters. Elizabeth's father was Charles T. Reynolds (he moved to Kansas, where she was born). Her mother, Margaret Bradley, died 3 days after she was born, and Charles sent her & her two siblings to live with his sister-in-law Libby Bradley in Milwaukee. In the listing you made, I can tell you that the Hugh P. was Charles' brother. Their parents were Richard & Christina Reynolds. I know that Richard Reynolds sold land to the City of Milwaukee back in the 1850's (?) which is now Layton Park. In the 1850 census for Greenfield...they were listed as... Richard 58 born in Ireland Christina 56 born in Ireland Catherine 26 born in Ireland Ann 25 born in Ireland Mary 23 born in Ireland Jane 22 born in New York John 19 born in Michigan Margaret 16 born in Michigan Hugh P. 15 born in Wisconsin Charles 12 born in Wisconsin George 10 born in Wisconsin Edward 62 born in Ireland Most of this Reynolds & Bradley family are buried in Calvary Cemetery in Milwaukee.
Sorry Bob--none of these are familiar? Did you mean to send this to me? I checked my records and have no REYNOLDS line?
