I just want to make sure you all know there is a good book called Milwaukee Streets : The Stories Behind Their Names by Carl Baehr and Ellen Baehr. I don't have my copy yet (though the book has been out for years!), but I plan to buy one soon. It gives a lot of neat history about the names of our streets and the people they were named after. I just came across this book at Schwartz Bookstore last week. It is very interesting. I believe it was selling for $30. I know I thought it was a little pricey.
