Just found this site, which may prove useful for those researching Milwaukee-area ancestors from Germany. It lists the names of German municipalities, plus the land/state/region and county they are in. The list seems pretty extensive. http://www.faerber.muc.de/dmoz/de-gemeinden/ There is also a geoserve site for Germany, but I can't find it in my bookmarks.
