Janesville Plank Rd actually started at Mitchell Street & 8th Avenue, which is now 13th Street...... This is according to an 1874 map and an 1858 map. I live off of 8th St. & Mitchell St, right now.....8th Street used to be 3rd Avenue 6th Street used to be 1st Avenue The streets were renamed in the 1930's...... I've been researching my house some...it was built in 1874.... Loomis Road also came all the way to Mitchell Street..... It is now known as Windlake Ave. GipC
