Hi Molly: I'd appreciate a lookup for Peter/Pierre SICARD, born about 1839 and his wife, Charlotte Jane, born 1851. They might be in Mosinee, WI but I'm not sure. If the children are still living at home, their names are: Alfred (Fred), Lester and Lorena.Thank you !!!! In January of 1930 my father received a Certificate of Graduation from the "18th Avenue" elementary school in Milwaukee, does anyone know if that school is still in existence? Thank you, Judy
Hello List, Just want to let you know that I added an 1850 Federal Census Index to the Milwaukee Links To the Past Website. It is organized alphabetically as well as by Ward and Town. You can get to it by going to http://www.linkstothepast.com/milwaukee and clicking on Censuses and directories. I do not have ready access to the census so I will not be able to do a look up for any of those listed. Good Luck in your research. Ellen-
Sandy: I am replying to you and to the Milwaukee list because I feel this Info might help other Milwaukee people. I have Peter James Christ, village marshall in 1903, m. Emma Zeruba and With his brothers, Amos Charles and H. P. Christ, lived in Wausaukee, WI (up near Marinette on west shore of Green Bay). Until At least 1925 they were in Wausaukee but some may have moved to Milwaukee After this date. Get in touch with me if these seem in any way connected to your Christ family. Has anyone else experienced this: I have a relative buried at Holy Cross (I have been there and have pictures of the grave)--but he doesn't appear in the cemetery index--not certain why--the gravestone is very clear... Susan snokes@tscnet.com
My father, mother, grandparents and an aunt are all buried in the same plot in Mt. Olivet Cemetery however only my mother shows up on the Catholic Cemetery website index. My mother was the only one buried there, the other graves had been moved from Blessed Sacrament Cemetery located on 60th and Howard Ave. My guess is they don't have a record of graves that were moved, I have written to them about this but have never received a reply. What index are you looking at? And what year did she passed away? I would like to know if someone will do a 1870 or 1900 census lookup for my John Peter and Maria Lynn Christ. They were in New York prior to 1865 and would love someone to do one in New York for me if you can tell me where I may ask. In 1880 census they were in Rantoul, Claumet WI. They were having children in New York from around 1857 till 1865 or 66. Thank you for any help you may be able to give me. Sandy Poirier
Mary, Do you think FRANK's and FRINK's might be the same surname? Ever heard of an Anton FRINKS? or the name LENGER/LINGER/LANGER? Susan snokes@tscnet.com
