I am working on a few families with addresses I got off the 1900 census. How do I get a hold of the titles for those addresses? Considering that the street system was re-worked, I want to make sure that I am ordering for the correct house. -- Paul K. Hello List, I just added a transcription with updates for St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery located on Howell Ave in Oak Creek. There are a little less than 1000 entries. www.linkstothepast.com/milwaukee/080.html Enjoy, Ellen- Waukesha County Gen Web Coordinator

Hi, I have just located the Ship record which has my gggg-grandfather included...since many of these people arrived together, and often settled in areas close to one another, I thought this may be of interest to some of the people on this list... Some of these people lived in or around these addresses: 942 Vliet St. 946 Vliet St 12 & Cherry 634 Market 693--6th 409-7th 352--13th 2401 Vliet 933--7th Ave 603 Chestnut 923--34 St. Please contact me if you find a name listed on this ship record to whom you may be related... Thank you in advance... Susan snokes@tscnet.com EMILIE OCTOBER 24, 1854 #1459 District of New York--Port of New York List or Manefest of all passengers taken on board the EMILIE whereof H. sorry don't know where I made the mistake, but I see someone else put (hopefully) the correct address in. Altho when in doubt and you want to look around just go to http://www.cyndi'slist.com there is so much information there. You probably already know that but hopefully it will come in handy for someone. ----- Original Message ----- From: <BrennaJne@aol.com> To: <WIMILWAU-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, April 22, 2002 6:50 PM Subject: [WiMilwau] Web site > In a message dated 4/22/2002 6:09:06 PM Central Standard Time, > WIMILWAU-D-request@rootsweb.com writes: > > > > http://wwwuwos.edu/archives/registration > > Couldn't open this site is the above the correct address? > > > > > > ==== WIMILWAU Mailing List ==== > For subscribe/unsubscribe and other general list information, please see > http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~sewis/wimilwau.htm > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 > >

Milwaukee County Historical Society has index AND declarations & petitions that were transferred from county and municipal courts. Their index also includes the federal district court filings, but those papers are with the INS office, which is at the federal building that used to be the old post office on East Wisconsin Avenue. The post-1906 petitions and declarations include a wealth of information. Where would I look in Milwaukee County for declaration of intent papers or naturalization papers from the 1915 vintage? Shari
Bill, I'm not sure why you can't get to it, but I just tried it again, and I can get to it fine. I'm even on a different computer than I was on when I sent it the first time. Mary Frank >>> bwodarcz@chicagonet.net 04/14/02 08:55PM >>> The link is broken. I emailed the webmaster and he told me to go to www.muc.de. The problem is it's all in German and I can't read or speak German. I realize that this is not the URL you show, but you can't get to the one you listed. It lists the names of German municipalities, plus the land/state/region and county they are in. The list seems pretty extensive. http://www.faerber.muc.de/dmoz/de-gemeinden/ There is also a geoserve site for Germany, but I can't find it in my bookmarks.
