    1. Re: [WiMilwau] Sally, Fuerst from where?
    2. I don't have alot on this side of the family..but what I know is... Christoph Fuerst b. in Ohio, date unknown. He married Mary Wagner b. in Massachusettes who was French. Their daughter, Mary Fuerst was born abt 1864 in Wisconsin and was my great-grandmother. Mary Fuerst married Charles Miller b. 1860 in New York, died July 22, 1927 and was buried in Forest Home Cemetery. Mary died in 1930 in Milwaukee. Their children were: Lenore, Kenneth, Grace, Estelle and Leon Miller. If anything sounds familiar, I can look back at my records and see if there is anything else I have about the family. Sally Sally, I have an interest in Fuerst and am wondering where yours are from? Possibly when as well? Ashley

    1. Re: [WiMilwau] ROLL CALL
    2. As many of you know, I am a family history researcher at historic Forest Home Cemetery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I have also read over 40 volumes of Milwaukee history and have indexed every surname and all first names given plus maiden names found in them plus have also read and indexed about 50 volumes of the Milwaukee Historical Society historical newsletters. Roll Calls don't help me in my research, though, for people unless first names are included also. For instance, Marquardt: just at the cemetery alone we have about 20 of them and to get all the information on all of them would take just too long and then, names like Johnson, Smith, Jackson, etc. - impossible. So, any of you who have sent in names to the Roll Call, if you would send me first names I would be very happy to look up what I can find. For four years now I have volunteered to do this but have always just deleted Roll Calls where first names are not given. Help me if you want me to try to help you. Bob of Brookfield

Would the family you are looking for be: John, wife Amelia, children: Charles, Fritz, August, John, Wilhelmine, Albert and Louise that came to America/Wisconsin between 1856-1866? Or a Fritz and Herman who appear to be brothers? They are listed in a book I have. The Fritz from the first family group worked on my uncle's farm. I recognized the name from some data I recently entered. Cindy

    1. Some Names and looking for Milwaukee help
    2. I'm looking for descendents or relatives of the following Milwaukee area families: Alfred and Elsie Gregg, Robert Gregg and ?, Frederick & Winnifred Leister, David Leister and ?, John and Sophia Steller, Harold and Bessie Heidelberg, William and Bertha Wallschlaeger, Gordon Wallschlaeger and ?, Hassell, Zeller. Most were German immigrants. I have names only of several ancestors who married or died in Milwaukee. None of these show up in the databases of Ancestry.com or the Death index. Some of them appear in some of the censuses. Does anyone have any suggestions for finding more specific information? As an alternative I am willing to pay for research done at the local level (Milwaukee) if someone can suggest a reliable researcher. Regards, Vera Hamson Canada
